Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Billboard handles information. Billboard is a native macOS app for tracking coding-agent and AI-model scores, badge awards, agent requests, and related review history on your Mac.
Summary
Billboard is designed to be local-first. The app does not require a Billboard account, does not operate a developer-run cloud sync service, and does not sell personal information.
Information Billboard Stores
Billboard may store information that you create or approve in the app, including:
- Scoreboard entries, such as academy, agent, model, and score information.
- Score events, adjustments, attribution notes, review decisions, and history.
- Badge awards and badge suggestions.
- Pending agent score requests and badge requests submitted through the local MCP server.
- App settings, model catalog preferences, and locally cached model metadata.
This information is stored locally on your Mac, including inside the app's macOS sandbox container where applicable.
Local MCP Server
Billboard includes a local MCP server for compatible coding-agent clients. When you choose to connect a compatible local client, that client may submit score requests, score changes, attribution, badge suggestions, and related metadata to Billboard.
In the normal review workflow, agent-submitted requests are shown for user review before they affect the scoreboard. You control whether to confirm, edit, or reject those requests.
Model Catalog Downloads
If you use model catalog sync or refresh features, Billboard may download model name metadata from a supported HTTPS source. This is used to help populate or update the local model catalog. Your scores, badge history, attribution notes, and agent request history are not uploaded by Billboard as part of model catalog sync.
How Information Is Used
Billboard uses locally stored information to:
- Display scoreboards, score history, badge history, and review queues.
- Let you approve, edit, reject, or audit agent-submitted requests.
- Preserve local history for your own review and comparison workflows.
- Maintain app preferences and local model catalog data.
Information Sharing
Billboard does not sell your personal information. Billboard does not provide a developer-operated account system or cloud service for normal app use.
Information may leave your Mac only when you choose to use system or third-party features outside Billboard, such as connecting a local agent client, exporting data, sharing files, backing up your Mac, syncing files with another service, or downloading model catalog metadata from a configured source.
Analytics and Advertising
Billboard does not include developer-operated advertising tracking. Billboard does not use your score history or attribution notes to build advertising profiles.
If analytics, crash reporting, cloud sync, subscriptions, or other online services are added in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe those services before they are used.
Data Retention and Deletion
Billboard keeps local app data until you delete it, reset it, remove it through app features, or uninstall the app and remove its local container data. Data included in your device backups may remain in those backups according to your backup provider's settings.
Children
Billboard is a developer tool and is not directed to children. Billboard does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Billboard changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.
